Jim B. Tucker (born 1960) is an American retired child psychiatrist and former Bonner-Lowry Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. His main research documented accounts of children who, he claimed, remember previous lives, as well as natal and prenatal memories. He is the author of Life Before Life: A Scientific Investigation of Children's Memories of Previous Lives, and continued the Division of Perceptual Studies' reincarnation research after taking over from Ian Stevenson upon Stevenson's retirement in 2002.
