John Meade Falkner

1 standalone book

John Meade Falkner (1858-1932) was a British writer who combined a successful business career in munitions manufacturing with a leisure interest in antiquarian subjects, producing county guides and a small but outstanding body of fiction. His tales are authentic in historical detail with a carefully developed atmosphere of mystery; his most famous novel is Moonfleet (1898), a smuggling adventure often reprinted and adapted for screen and radio.
