Joseph Knight

Joseph Knight was an English horticulturist who served as a gardener to George Hibbert. He was one of the first people in England to successfully propagate Proteaceae. He is remembered as the nominal author of a publication that caused one of the biggest controversies of 19th-century English botany. Knight was born in 1778 and died in 1855.
