Judah ben Samuel of Regensburg, also called Yehuda HeHasid or Judah the Pious in Hebrew, was a leader of the Ashkenazi Hasidim, a movement of Jewish mysticism in Germany. He was a German Jewish mystic who lived from 1150 to 1217. His teachings and leadership influenced the development of Jewish mystical traditions in medieval Europe.
