Junji Ito is a Japanese horror manga artist. His notable works include Tomie, a series about an immortal girl who drives her admirers to madness, and Uzumaki, a three-volume story about a town cursed by spirals. He also created Gyo, a two-volume tale in which fish are controlled by a bacteria called "the death stench," and The Junji Ito Horror Comic Collection, a compilation of his short stories. He is also known for Junji Ito's Cat Diary: Yon & Mu, a self-parody involving him and his wife with two cats.
