Kenji Taketomi is a Japanese manga artist (mangaka), born in Egiei Town, Kishima District, Saga Prefecture, and currently residing in Koganei. He graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Komaba High School and the second division of the Faculty of Literature, Department of Education, at Aoyama Gakuin University. He is best known for "Suzuki-sensei," serialized in Manga Action, and describes himself as a "literary mangaka." In 2007 he received the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 11th Japan Media Arts Festival for that work.
