Óláfr Þórðarson

1 standalone book

Óláfr Þórðarson (1210–1259) was an Icelandic skald and scholar, often called Óláfr hvítaskáld to distinguish him from a contemporary skald of the same name. A paternal nephew of Snorri Sturluson, he spent his youth in Snorri's household, where much of his scholarly education took place. He is particularly noted for his Grammatical Treatise.
