Lamb, Caroline Lady

Lady Caroline Lamb (1785–1828) was an Anglo-Irish aristocrat and novelist, best known for the Gothic novel Glenarvon. In 1812 she had an affair with Lord Byron, whom she described as "mad, bad, and dangerous to know". Her husband, William Lamb, later became 2nd Viscount Melbourne and a British prime minister.
