Lewis Carroll was the pseudonym of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, a British author and scholar who lived from 1832 to 1898. He is best known for writing Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, which have become classics of children's literature. Dodgson was a mathematical lecturer at Oxford University, where he worked for much of his life. Despite his professional focus on mathematics, he also had a talent for writing, poetry, and wordplay. His work under the name Lewis Carroll remains widely recognized and celebrated.
