Louis Bromfield (1896-1956) was an American writer and conservationist. A bestselling novelist in the 1920s, he won the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1927 for Early Autumn, and later became one of the earliest proponents of sustainable and organic agriculture in the United States, founding the experimental Malabar Farm near Mansfield, Ohio.
