Maajid Nawaz

Maajid Usman Nawaz is a British activist and former radio presenter. He was the founding chairman of the think tank Quilliam and, until January 2022, hosted an LBC radio show. A former member of the Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir, he was imprisoned in Egypt from 2001 to 2006, after which he left the group, renounced his Islamist past, and called for a secular Islam.
