Margaret Landon

Margaret Landon was an American writer known for her 1944 novel Anna and the King of Siam, which became a bestseller and was translated into more than twenty languages. She sold the musical play rights to Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, who adapted her work into the musical The King and I. Landon also wrote a later book titled Never Dies the Dream, published in 1949. She was born in 1903 and died in 1993.
