Marge Piercy is an American novelist and poet known for her progressive activism, feminist perspectives, and exploration of social and political themes. Her work includes the novel Woman on the Edge of Time and He, She and It, which won the 1993 Arthur C. Clarke Award. She also wrote Gone to Soldiers, a New York Times Best Seller set during World War II. Piercy's writing is deeply influenced by her Jewish heritage and Marxist beliefs.
