Masaya Tokuhiro is a Japanese manga artist who works for various magazines within the Shueisha lines, including Weekly Shōnen Jump and Super Jump. He originally gained attention after winning the 17th Akatsuka Award in 1982 for his story Bijō wa Niku-Ryori ga Tokui. His most well-known work, Jungle King Tar-chan, was a staple of Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1988 to 1995, while he also had a successful series in Super Jump titled Fundoshi Police Ken-chan and Chaco-chan from 1986 to 1990. Other notable series include Kyōshirō 2030 and Showa Eternal Immortal Legend Vampire.
