Matthew López (born 1978) is an American playwright, director, and screenwriter. His play The Inheritance, directed by Stephen Daldry, premiered at London's Young Vic in 2018 before transferring to the West End and opening on Broadway in 2019, where it swept the "Best Play" awards including the Tony Award and the Olivier Award.
