James Michael Reaves (born September 14, 1950, died 2023) was an American writer and screenwriter, known for contributions as scriptwriter and story editor to 1980s and 1990s animated television series including Disney's Gargoyles and Batman: The Animated Series. He also wrote media tie-in novels, children's books, and original fiction, often collaborating with Steve Perry, and won a 1993 Emmy for Outstanding Writing in an Animated Program for his Batman: The Animated Series work.
