Michitsuna no Haha

Fujiwara no Michitsuna no Haha (c. 935-995) was a waka poet of the mid-Heian period in Japan. In her mid-thirties she began writing her journal Kagero Nikki, composed in a combination of waka poems and prose, which offers a rare account of a Heian noblewoman's life. Her true name is unknown to history.
