Philip Miller was an English botanist and gardener of Scottish descent. He served as chief gardener at the Chelsea Physic Garden for nearly 50 years, starting in 1722. Miller authored The Gardeners Dictionary, a widely read work in the field of horticulture. He lived from 1691 until 1771.
