Molana Abdul Ghani Hanbhi

Abd al-Ghani ibn Abd al-Wahid al-Maqdisi was a classical Sunni Islamic scholar and hadith master. He was born in 1146 in the village of Jummail in Palestine and studied with scholars in Damascus, including members of his extended family. He established the first school on Mount Qasioun near Damascus and died in 1203.
