Moses Hess

Moses Hess was a German-Jewish philosopher who contributed to early socialist theory and was a close collaborator of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. He later became a proponent of Jewish nationalism, influencing the development of Zionism. His 1862 work, Rome and Jerusalem, marked a significant shift in his intellectual focus. Hess lived from 1812 to 1875.
