Muhammad Taqi Usmani is a Pakistani Islamic jurist and scholar who specialized in the Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic law, Islamic economics, and comparative religion. He served as a member of the Council of Islamic Ideology, a judge of the Federal Shariat Court, and a judge in the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He is a leading figure of the Deobandi movement and has held the position of Chairman of Wifaq ul Madaris Al-Arabia since 2021. His father, Shafi Usmani, was the Grand Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband, and Usmani migrated to Pakistan in 1948 after the partition of India.
