Murray Leinster was a pen name used by William Fitzgerald Jenkins, an American writer who lived from June 16, 1896, to June 8, 1975. He was known for writing genre fiction, especially science fiction. Throughout his career, he produced more than 1,500 short stories and articles, as well as 14 movie scripts and hundreds of radio scripts and television plays. He worked primarily as a novelist and short story writer, contributing extensively to the field of speculative fiction.
