Netta Rachel Hill was born in Sevenoaks, Kent, England, UK. She worked as a teacher of Mathematics, served with the Voluntary Aid Detachment during both World Wars, and later held a position as secretary to Lord George Riddell. She began publishing fiction in 1927 and continued writing until her death, with her final novel, Cloudbreak, published posthumously in 1964. Her works were translated into several languages, and she was vice-president of the Romantic Novelists' Association, which later established the Netta Muskett Award in her honor.
