Nizam al-Din Shami was a Persian scholar and historian who flourished in the late 14th and early 15th centuries. He authored the Zafarnama, the earliest extant Timurid chronicle and the oldest surviving biography on Timur. His work was continued by Hafiz-i Abru and later formed the basis of another Zafarnama by Sharaf al-Din Ali Yazdi.
