Charles Bernard Nordhoff (1887–1947) was an American novelist and traveler, born in England, best known for The Bounty Trilogy, three historical novels written with James Norman Hall: Mutiny on the Bounty, Men Against the Sea, and Pitcairn's Island. After serving in World War I as an ambulance driver and aviator, he spent much of his life on the island of Tahiti, where he and Hall wrote a number of successful adventure books.
