Okakura Kakuzō, also known as Okakura Tenshin, was a Japanese scholar and art critic born on February 14, 1862, and died on September 2, 1913. He is best known for his work "The Book of Tea," which brought attention to Japanese aesthetics and culture outside of Japan. Okakura contributed to the development of arts in Japan and was recognized for his scholarly work in the field of art criticism.
