P. C. Cast

P. C. Cast (born Phyllis Christine Cast on April 30, 1960, in Watseka, Illinois) is an American fantasy and young adult author best known for the House of Night vampire series, which she co-wrote with her daughter Kristin Cast beginning in 2007. Before her writing career, she served in the United States Air Force and spent fifteen years teaching high school, and she is a member of the Oklahoma Writers Hall of Fame.
