Patrick Hamilton

1 standalone book

Anthony Walter Patrick Hamilton was an English playwright and novelist. He was well regarded by Graham Greene and J. B. Priestley, and his novels have been revived for their distinctive style, using a Dickensian narrative voice to depict inter-war London street culture. His works display a strong sympathy for the poor and an acerbic black humour. Doris Lessing described him as a "marvellous novelist who's grossly neglected.
