Pjetër Bogdani

Pjetër Bogdani was an Albanian Catholic priest, philosopher, and theologian of Albanian origin. He is recognized as the most original writer of Old Albanian literature during the Renaissance and authored the Cuneus Prophetarum, a prose work written in (Gheg) Albanian in 1685. He served as a Roman Catholic archbishop and is noted as the first writer of substance in Albanian prose.
