Guo Pu (276–324), courtesy name Jingchun, was a Chinese historian, poet, and writer of the Eastern Jin period, best known as one of China's foremost commentators on ancient texts. A Taoist mystic, geomancer, and collector of strange tales, he was the first commentator on the Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hai Jing), helping to preserve that text. As the author of the Book of Burial, the earliest and most authoritative source on feng shui doctrine, he is often called the father of feng shui in China.
