Ralph Nader is an American lawyer and political activist known for his work in consumer protection, environmentalism, and government reform. He authored the 1965 book Unsafe at Any Speed, which criticized the automotive industry's safety practices and contributed to the 1966 National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Nader has also served as a presidential candidate. He was born in 1934.
