1 series 1 book in order

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882) was an American philosopher, essayist, and poet best remembered for leading the Transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century, expressed in his 1836 essay Nature. His 1837 speech The American Scholar was called America's "Intellectual Declaration of Independence" by Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. His central doctrine, in his own words, was "the infinitude of the private man."
