Raymond William Postgate was a journalist, author, and socialist who founded the Good Food Guide. He was an early advocate for communism but broke from the Moscow-directed Communist International in 1922, subsequently becoming a prominent figure in the independent British Labour movement. His writings, which included numerous books and articles, were influential in shaping twentieth-century British political theory and policy.
