Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer and producer born on November 30, 1978, in Lexington, Kentucky. He is best known for creating The Walking Dead, a long-running comic series about survivors navigating a zombie apocalypse, which was later adapted into a hugely popular television franchise. Kirkman co-founded Skybound Entertainment and is also the creator of other celebrated comics including Invincible.
