Robert P. Multhauf (1919–2004) was an American historian of science, museum curator, and author. He was the first PhD historian to work at the Smithsonian Institution, where he served as head curator and later director of the Museum of History and Technology, and he edited the History of Science Society's journal Isis from 1964 to 1978.
