Sara Shepard is an American author born in 1977, best known for creating the wildly popular Pretty Little Liars young adult series, which follows a group of friends haunted by a mysterious antagonist after the disappearance of their clique's leader. Shepard has also written other YA thriller series, establishing herself as a leading voice in teen mystery fiction.
