Sean Llewellyn Williams was born on 23 May 1967, in Whyalla, South Australia, and resides in Adelaide. He is a science fiction author who has written over eighty short stories and thirty-nine novels, including Twinmaker and the Troubletwisters series co-authored with Garth Nix. He also co-authored three books in the Star Wars: New Jedi Order series and wrote the novelization of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Williams received the Young Composer's Award in 1984 for a musical composition titled Release of Anger. He studied sciences and music at Pulteney Grammar School and later earned a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Adelaide University. He was Chair of the SA Writers' Centre from 2001 to 2003 and is a lifetime member of the organization. His publishers include HarperCollins Australia, HarperTeen, Allen & Unwin, and Del Rey. He has also tutored for the Clarion South Workshop and served as a judge for the Writers of the Future contest.
