Sheldon M. Ross is the Daniel J. Epstein Chair and Professor at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. He is the author of several books in the field of probability and has served as a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, before joining USC in 2004. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College, an M.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford University. He is also the Editor for several journals, including Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, and became a fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences in 2013.
