Stephen John Fry is a British actor, writer, journalist, comedian, television presenter, and film director. He first gained recognition in the 1982 Cambridge Footlights Revue presentation, "The Cellar Tapes," and later co-wrote and co-starred in A Bit of Fry and Laurie with Hugh Laurie, as well as playing the title roles in Jeeves and Wooster. Fry has written four novels, including The Liar (1993), The Hippopotamus (1994), Making History (1997), and The Stars' Tennis Balls (2000), as well as several non-fiction works and an autobiography, and has narrated audiobooks, including the Harry Potter series.
