Thomas Ridley Sharpe was an English satirical novelist born in London on 30 March 1928 and died in Llafranch, Gerona, on 6 June 2013. He is best known for his Wilt series, as well as Porterhouse Blue and Blott on the Landscape. These works were adapted for television. Sharpe's writing focused on satire, and he contributed significantly to the genre during his lifetime.
