Tony Duvert was a French writer and philosopher who gained recognition in the 1970s, winning the Prix Médicis in 1973 for his novel Paysage de Fantaisie. His writings focused on the celebration and defense of paedophilia and critiques of modern child-rearing. He was active during a period when sexual liberation allowed public discussion of child sexuality, but faced increasing opposition as societal attitudes changed in the 1980s. Duvert was born in 1945 and died in 2008.
