Tsurayuki Ki

Ki no Tsurayuki was a Japanese author, poet and court noble of the Heian period. He is best known as the principal compiler of the Kokin Wakashū and as a possible author of the Tosa Diary, although this was published anonymously. He served as Governor of Tosa and held various other governmental positions during his career. His waka poetry earned him recognition as one of the Thirty-six Poetry Immortals and his work was included in the Hyakunin Isshu.
