Uzodinma Iweala

Uzodinma Iweala (born 1982) is a Nigerian-American author and medical doctor. His debut novel, Beasts of No Nation, grew out of his thesis work at Harvard and depicts a child soldier in an unnamed African country; published in 2005, it was adapted into an award-winning film in 2015. He later published the non-fiction book Our Kind of People (2012) and the novel Speak No Evil (2018).
