Vasyl Mykolayovych Shkliar (born 1951) is a Ukrainian writer and political activist, and one of the most well known and widely read contemporary Ukrainian authors. Some observers have named him the "Father of the Ukrainian Bestseller." He was awarded the Shevchenko National Prize in 2011.
