Vishakhadatta

Viśākhadatta was an Indian Sanskrit poet and playwright. Only two of his plays, the Mudrārākṣasa and the Devichandraguptam, are known to us. He is mentioned in his works as the son of Maharaja Bhaskaradatta and the grandson of Maharaja Vateshvaradatta. His exact period is uncertain, though he probably flourished in or after the 6th century CE.
