Kentaro Miura

Kentarō Miura (1966–2021) was a Japanese manga artist born in Chiba, Japan, who began his professional career in the late 1980s. He is best known for creating Berserk, a sweeping dark fantasy manga series that began serialization in 1989 and grew to sell over 60 million copies worldwide. Miura received the Award for Excellence at the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2002, cementing his legacy as one of the most influential manga creators of his generation.
