Yan Yu (1191–1241) was a Chinese poetry theorist and poet of the southern Song dynasty. Born in Shaowu, he was active during the reign of Emperor Lizong and never held official office, spending most of his life at home. He is best known for his poetic theory work Canglang Shihua, in which he proposed that High Tang poetry be taken as the model for all poetry.
