About “Poseidonis”
Poseidonis is the fictional final remnant of the lost continent of Atlantis, described in a series of short stories by Clark Ashton Smith. Smith drew inspiration for the concept from Theosophical scriptures about Atlantis, portraying Poseidonis as the last isle of the sinking continent. The idea of a final surviving landmass from a lost civilization parallels the isle of Númenor in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium.
