About “A Quiet Flame”
A Quiet Flame is a 2008 crime novel by British author Philip Kerr. It is the fifth book in the Bernie Gunther series and is set in Peronist Argentina in 1950. The story follows directly from The One from the Other, in which Gunther fled West Germany in 1949. He used the ODESSA escape route to avoid capture as a wanted Nazi and war criminal.
