A Night to Remember is a 1955 non-fiction book by Walter Lord that recounts the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. The book is based on interviews with 63 survivors and draws from their writings and other published accounts. It became a major success and remains a trusted source on the event. In 1986, Lord wrote a follow-up titled The Night Lives On, which was influenced by renewed public interest after the Titanic's wreck was discovered by Robert Ballard.
